Water Resources Engineering

Water resources engineering generally deals with the provision of water for human use and the development of techniques for the prevention of destruction from floods which includes the planning and management of facilities that are constructed for these tasks.

Stormwater Management

Stormwater runoff occurs when rain and snowmelt flow over land or impervious surfaces (such as streets, parking lots, sidewalks, and rooftops) and does not percolate into the ground. Our team of Stormwater Design Engineers, are here to provide you with expert advice and assistance

Erosion and Sediment Control

Erosion and Sediment Control is the practice of preventing stormwater contamination by sediment by controlling the number of exposed soils during construction.

Learn More About Our Projects and Services

Our Projects and Services

At 3AHS, we combine technical expertise with innovative engineering to deliver sustainable and resilient solutions for modern communities. From assessing flood risks to designing effective stormwater systems and managing offsite civil works, our team helps ensure that every project meets safety, environmental, and regulatory standards. Learn more below about how our specialized services support smarter, safer, and more sustainable development.

The Flood Hazard Assessment (FHA) studies flood risks in an area using historical data, geography, and climate patterns. It helps identify areas vulnerable to riverine, urban, coastal, flash, and ice jam floods. This assessment supports safer planning, protects communities, and minimizes economic losses.

The Flood Construction Level (FCL) sets the minimum elevation at which buildings should be constructed to avoid flood damage. It’s determined through detailed flood mapping and risk analysis. Proper FCLs help protect infrastructure from storm surges and heavy rainfall, promoting resilient development in flood-prone areas.

Stormwater Management Plans (SWMP) and Erosion and Sediment Control Plans (ESCP) manage water runoff and soil protection during construction. SWMPs prevent flooding and pollution, while ESCPs reduce erosion and sedimentation. Along with offsite civil works like roads, sewers, and utilities, these services ensure sustainable, compliant, and safe community development.
